Pastor- In-Charge of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Oyo Province 2, Pastor Samuel Adeyemo, has stressed the need for countries involved in international war to embrace dialogue rather than confrontation.
Pastor Adeyemo stated this while speaking on the 2026 Shiloh Week of the church, held at its headquarters, opposite Oyo State Housing Corporation, Bodija, Ibadan.
The Cleric who explained that conflict begins with dialogues and also ends with dialogue noted that no conflict is ever resolved through continued attacks by warring nations.

“they don’t need to slug it out with guns. There is no battle that has ever been settled with the sound of guns. Every battle starts on the table and will end up on the table. All the parties should give room for discussions”.
The RCCG, Pastor in-charge of Oyo Province 2 explained that the crave for power and dominance by nation leaders often trigger wars said progress would be achieved if countries currently at war would embrace peace.

The cleric enjoined members not to panic saying the lingering international wars does not translate to the end of the world but a sign of the end time as foretold by Jesus Christ.
“The problem majorly is power seeking individuals. Everybody wants to occupy territory. Everybody wants to dominate the other but what we will counsel them as pastors is that, if they give peace a chance, there could still be progress.
Yes! my master foretold what is happening. There will be wars here and there. That is not the end of the world.”

Commenting on the theme of the 2026 Shiloh Week: The Covenant Keeping God, Pastor Adeyemo said the prevailing social, political and economic challenges in the country, tend to erode the Christian belief that God still exists and keeps covenants by answering prayers.
“If there is God that answers prayers, then, there must be a man to pray. That is when the covenant could be ratified or sealed, the reason for the topic was because the situation outside has become a situation where people may not believe in the existence of God again talk less of His faithfulness. We want people to be reminded that God of the time of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is still the God of now. He still keeps His covenant”
In the same vein, wife of the Assistant Pastor in charge of RCCG, Ekiti Province Eleven, Mrs Olubukola Afuye, said Nigerians should imbibe the spirit of praying for political leaders in instead of heaping insults on them.
Mrs Afuye who said the unpalatable situation in the country was sequel to lack of prayers by citizens for the nation’s leaders maintained that Nigerians would experience positive changes when prayers regarding the country are offered to God.
She called on the residents of Ibadan to attend the province’s Shiloh week so as to experience the divine blessings of God.
“Let us continue to pray for Nigerian leaders. When we pray for them, they will change and have us in their minds. We have been talking about corruption, kidnappings and banditry, the only thing we can do is to pray. Instead of cursing them, instead of saying bad things to them, we should pray for them. When we pray, God will answer and we will enjoy.”
Speaking on the forthcoming 2027 general election, the wife of the RCCG Oyo Province 2, Mrs Olukorede Adeyemo urged politicians to draw closer to God and eschew violence.
“They should stay on the side of the Lord, they should have the heart of God. Let them do the will of God. Everything will be okay.”
Prayer coordinator, RCCG Ekiti province eleven Pastor Odeyemi Olawale who was invited to the programme said numerous miracles had been recorded in the course of the Shiloh week.
Some of the miracles according to Pastor Olawale included healing, deliverance, revelations regarding activities of the devil, divine promises and victory.
