Following the usual increase in vehicular movement before, during, and after Eid-el-Kabir across states, the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Osun Sector Command, has cautioned motorists against route violations, wrongful overtaking, excessive speed, and overloading.
The State Sector Commander, Mr Sunday Adebayo, gave the caution in a statement made available to newsmen in Osogbo through the Sector Public Education Officer, Mr Agnes Ogungbemi.
While emphasising that the war against avoidable loss of lives on the roads is the collective responsibility of everyone, Mr Adebayo urged motorists to cooperate with the Corps, comply with travel rules and regulations and ensure common sense speed limits.
He disclosed that a total of five hundred and fifty-five personnel, three ambulances, two roadside clinics, one tow truck, and fifteen patrol vehicles would be deployed throughout the state to ensure safe traffic activities during and after the Salah celebration.
Mr Adebay,o who said the operation was in line with the FRSC headquarters’ directive to carry out Sallah operations, noted that the Osun Sector Command and its component Unit Commands would commence the week-long operational activity from 25th to 31th May, 2026.
