Hajj: Cleric Warns Pilgrims Against Travelling With Kolanut, Hard Drugs

By Olaolu Fawole

Intending pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have been warned against travelling with prohibited items such as kolanut, Indian hemp, heroin and other hard drugs banned by Saudi authorities.

The Director of Inaayatullahi Travels and Tours Limited, Dr. Sirajudeen Bilaal AL Asrau, gave the warning during an enlightenment programme organised for intending pilgrims at the company’s headquarters in Feesu, Iwo Local Government Area of Osun State.

Dr. Bilaal AL Asrau urged the pilgrims to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations guiding Hajj operations in Saudi Arabia, warning that any misconduct could tarnish the image of their families and Nigeria as a whole.

He also emphasised the importance of punctuality on the departure date, noting that airline operators would not delay flights for pilgrims who fail to arrive on time.

The Islamic cleric further enlightened the pilgrims on major locations in the Holy Land and advised them to always carry their identity cards to avoid getting lost while in Saudi Arabia.
