Authorities of Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta have confirmed the abduction of one of its students, Toyinbo Olayinka, a 400 level undergraduate with the Aquaculture and Fisheries Management department.

The University acting Head of Public Relations department, Mr. Kola Adepoju, in a statement in Abeokuta said the student was abducted on Saturday at Abule Itoko, along Abeokuta Odeda-Ibadan road.

He stated that the student was abducted on a farm along the University Permanent Site at Alabata Road in Abeokuta.

Mr Adepoju said management of the institution has reported the abduction of the self-supporting student kidnapped alongside the farm owner and another staff of the Ogun State Police Command headquarters in Eleweeran.

Meanwhile, the Ogun state Police command Spokesman, Mr. Abímbólá Oyeyemi while confirming the incident said detectives have swung into action to facilitate safe return of the victims.

He said the command would leave no stone unturned to rescue all kidnapped victims reported to the police in Ogun state.
