Oyo South Senatorial Primary, which was expected to hold this Saturday, has been postponed.

Prior to the development, things had not been going smoothly at the venue, an event center close to Bódìjà Housing Corporation, Ibadan where the APC Oyo South Senatorial District primary election had been scheduled to hold.

Our correspondent at the venue reported that some party supporters had stormed the venue alleging that an illegal accreditation was ongoing at a hall opposite the University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan.

Speaking to Radio Nigeria, one of the party supporters from Ibadan North West Local Government, Adekunle Akande claimed that the delegates being used at the unofficial venue were in favour of a particular candidate, who was unpopular to the core party faithful.

Mr Akande lamented that if the National and State executives of the party did not intervene urgently, the primary election might not hold.

Aspirants on ground then for the botched Senatorial primary were incumbent lawmaker representing the district, Senator Kola Balogun, son in law to Late Abiola Ajimobi, Kolapo Kola-Diasi, Chief Adegboyega Adegoke and Mr Bimbo Adekanmbi.
