Traders around Oba Adebimpe Road, Dugbe, Ibadan, have appealed to the Oyo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion and the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to pick up a destitute woman lying in front of the Radio Nigeria.
According to traders in the area the middle aged woman has been lying at the spot for the past four days.
Radio Nigeria reporter observed that the woman who laid covered in a sordid cloth, looked very pale, a condition probably induced by hunger and sickness.
Traders, who spoke on condition of anonymity, expressed worry that the woman might die and cause an environmental emergency in the area if appropriate authorities do not come quickly to her rescue.
