In a resurfaced interview with BBC Igbo conducted on October 7, 2025, Rita Daniels explained that, contrary to public belief, she was not the one who encouraged or arranged the union between her daughter and the much older businessman.

People often heap the blame on me for being the one who facilitated their marriage, but that’s untrue. But I’d rather take the blame than let them blame her for any bad decisions,” she concluded.

I’m now a married woman, the obvious thing for me is to take my husband’s name. But it’s my personal choice… I also respect a woman’s ability to choose,” she noted.

My dad has a wealth of wisdom. I’ve been fortunate to learn from him, but I think he felt it was time for the rest of the world to understand his journey as an entrepreneur,” she said.

Oh, absolutely. You will never hear me deny it. It’s important for people born into privilege to acknowledge that leg up they’ve gotten in life,” she stated.

Snoop Dogg admitted that he’s “scared to go to the movies” after seeing a same-sex couples represented onscreen while taking his grandson to see Disney’s Lightyear: “I didn’t come here for this s–t.”

Snoop Dogg’s latest comments are raising eyebrows.

After taking one of his seven grandchildren to see Disney’s Lightyear, the “Gin and Juice” rapper recalled being shocked to see an, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer, or Questioning LGBTQ+ couple represented on the screen.

“It’s like, I’m scared to go to the movies now,” Snoop said on the Aug. 20 episode of Sarah Fontenot’s it’s Giving podcast. “Y’all throwing me in the middle of s–t that I don’t have an answer for.”

During one scene in the 2022 Toy Story spinoff, female character Alisha Hawthorne (voiced by Uzo Aduba) notes that she has a wife. The couple is later shown kissing and goes on to welcome a son.

It threw me for a loop,” he continued. “I’m like, ‘What part of the movie was this?’ These are kids. We have to show that at this age? They’re going to ask questions. I don’t have the answer.”

Indeed, the 55-year-old said that the moment sparked many questions from the little one.

“My grandson, in the middle of the movie, like, ‘Papa Snoop, how she have a baby with a woman,’” he recalled. “She a woman.”

And in response, Snoop simply said at the time, “Hey man, watch the movie.”

But in reality, he was thinking to himself, “Oh s–t. I didn’t come here for this s–t. I just came to watch the goddamn movie.”

E! News has reached out to Snoop’s rep for further comment and has not heard back.

Lightyear’s representation of a same-sex couples caused quite a bit of controversy at the time of its release, with countries like Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates banning it altogether.

At one point, the scene was even cut from the film, per Variety, before it was later added back following former CEO Bob Chapek’s apology for the company’s silence surrounding Florida’s Don’t Say Gay bill.”

Speaking to you, reading your messages, and meeting with you have helped me better understand how painful our silence was,” Chapek wrote in a March 2022 email to employees. “It is clear that this is not just an issue about a bill in Florida, but instead yet another challenge to basic human rights.”

“You needed me to be a stronger ally in the fight for equal rights and I let you down,” he continued. “I am sorry.”

A Magistrate court sitting in Yaba, Lagos has cleared Nigerian street singer Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley, his aide Sam Larry, and Prime Boy from the death of Mohbad.

Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, who read and implemented the legal advice of the Directorate of Public Prosecution, DPP, Lagos, said that they had no case to answer as regards the unfortunate demise of the late singer.

The court said it would prosecute the auxiliary nurse that injected him (Feyisayo Ogedengbe) and one of Mohbad’s friends, Ayobami, for the offense of reckless and negligent acts contrary to Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law, Ch C.17, Vol 3, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

The duo will be prosecuted at the Magistrate Court.

Refreshing Mohbad memory, a former signee of Naira Marley’s record label, tragically passed away at 27 under unclear circumstances on September 12, 2023.

Following his death, his former boss, Naira Marley and his aide, Sam Larry lost the admiration of Nigerians when a video of Sam assaulting the late Mohbad surfaced online. The video sparked a flurry of reactions from the online community and led to the cancellation of Naira Marley and his label.

The duo were arrested and kept in police custody for more than five weeks but were released on November 17th after they met their bail conditions. After their release, the singer and his aide engaged in several charitable deeds to win back the hearts of Nigerians.

Back in March, a video of an Imam forcing Naira and Sam Larry to say Amen for the killers of Mohbad surfaced online and left tongues wagging. The Imam later spoke out on the incident, revealing that they had confessed to him that they were innocent and had nothing to do with his death, and had asked him to say a prayer for the killers of Mohbad.

In May, Sam Larry was embarrassed over an incident at a club. The socialite had stormed a club, and unfortunately for him, a club guest confronted him over Mohbad’s death, questioning where the boy he killed was. This made Sam Larry flare up and was captured online venting as some guys held him.

Zinoleesky, who is signed under Naira Marley’s label, Marlians Records, also lost the support of many for keeping silent over the maltreatment rendered on Mohbad. His career took a major blow, as US show promoters cancelled his tours and distanced themselves from him.
