Commissioner of Police Ogun State Command, Dr Lanre Ogunlowo has decorated the newly promoted senior officers within the command with a call on them to remain diligent and committed in the discharge of their duties.

Dr Ogunlowo made the call during the decoration of the officers at the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.

The Police Commissioner who noted that the newly promoted senior officers had demonstrated exemplary skills and dedication in their respective areas of policing, described their elevation to the next rank as deserving

He urged the newly promoted officers to set high standards for themselves and seek continuous improvement by acquiring more knowledge and skills that would enhance their policing duties.

Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted senior officers, Oluwatosin Esther assured the residents of the state of better policing and expressed gratitude to the hierarchy of the Nigeria Police Force for the timely recognition of their contributions.

Among the newly promoted senior officers is the Command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola.

Lagos State Police Command has assured the residents, especially the Muslim faithful of adequate security during the Eid-El Fitri.

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP, Mr. Hakeem Odumosu, stated this in a release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

The CP affirmed the preparedness of the Command as Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, Police Mobile Force Commanders and Tactical Commanders to redouble their efforts towards ensuring a crime-free Salah.

He also confirmed that an appreciable number of police personnel has been deployed across the state for provision of adequate security, traffic management and enforcement of COVID-19 protocols as stipulated by the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19.

The Commissioner of Police in the statement also directed that the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) and the Command’s Monitoring Unit should intensify efforts to maintain robust intelligence gathering and proactive measures to Police the State during the Eid-E- Fitri Festival and beyond.

The Police boss advised the Muslim faithful and fun seekers to be moderate, be security-conscious during this festivity.

The command however warned miscreants and hoodlums to seize the opportunity of this festive period to turn a new leaf and stop being a thorn in the flesh of innocent Nigerians.

Mr. Odumosu also seized the opportunity to felicitate with the Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the fast and prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) accept their prayers and spare their lives to witness more of the holy month in good health.

The newly deployed Commissioner of Police, CP, in Ondo State, Mr Bolaji Amidu Salami, has resumed duty on Wednesday 3rd of June at the state headquarters of the Nigeria Police Command, Igbatoro Road, in Akure.

Mr Salami took over as the 30th Ondo State Commissioner of Police from Mr Undie Adie, who was redeployed to Osun State Police Command.

The new Ondo CP in his address, said his target was to ensure continuous protection of lives and property in the state.

In his farewell message, the former Ondo State Police Commissioner, Mr Undie said he has a confidence in the new CP, adding that he was happy that crimes drastically reduced during his tenure in Ondo State.
