The Oyo state Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress, Mr Kayode Martins has debunked the rumour of any strike action from the Union tomorrow, Tuesday.

Mr Martins stated this during a phone interview with Radio Nigeria.

The Labour leader noted that the Union only gave the State Government an ultimatum till tomorrow on non-remittance of months’ cooperative deductions and Union dues.

He said there was no time the Union mentioned strike action in his statement but, rather promised to dialogue with Oyo state Government so as to ensure that all deductions are remitted.

Mr Martins who explained that the Cooperative Society ate the lifeline of civil servants added that said, it would bring untold hardship to the workers.

The Labour leader however appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde to attend to the matter as soon as possible, in paying the cooperatives’ deductions, to ease the suffering of the state workers.
