some unknown gunmen have Kidnapped five persons including a woman at onigaari shortly after the toll gate.

The incident which occured on Friday evening also involved killing of a commercial driver, while a passenger was also shot in the leg .

Radio Nigeria gathered that the six passengers boarded eight-seater Toyota Sienna bus with registration number MUS 493 HH in Ibadan enroute Lagos.

A witness that spoke with Radio Nigeria explained that it was just like a scene in a movie.

He said the armed kidnappers suddenly jumped out of a nearby bush and started shooting sporadically in the presence of other motorists.

He explained that some of them had to abandon their vehicles in order to safeguard their lives

The sienna bus driver, Oluwatosin Aruwajoye, had tried to maneuver his way out, but was not so lucky as the gunmen immediately shot him which led to his death

A passenger, was said to have been shot on his knee and was later taken to an undisclosed hospital for medical attention.

The operatives also went into the forest to search for the kidnapped victims with the aim of rescuing them and arresting the armed men.

Radio Nigeria later gathered that the family of one of the kidnapped victim’s have been contacted and huge amount of money were been requested of the victim’s release.

Radio Nigeria’ s efforts to get the reaction of the Oyo state Police Public Relations officer, DSP Adewale Osifeso said an update would be made available in due course.

Meanwhile the video of the incident that went viral on Saturday morning revealed that the sienna bus had spill of blood while the deceased was also in the vehicle.

Former presenter and On Air Personality (OAP) with Naija FM, Titus Badejo, popularly known as Eja Nla, has been allegedly killed outside 407 Club at Oluyole Estate, Ibadan, Oyo State, at about 11:30 pm on Saturday, June 19, 2021.

Radio Nigeria gathered that Eja Nla, who had been at the club from about 9pm, was leaving with some friends, when two masked men riding on a motorcycle suddenly stopped, wielding guns and asking all of them to lie down.

Thereafter, they reportedly aimed at Eja Nla, shooting him repeatedly before leaving, after ensuring that he was dead, without taking anything from him or his friends.

Before his murder, Eja Nla had celebrated his birthday, said to be his 40th, a week ago.

An Ogbomoso indigene, he was said to have gathered other indigenes in the town on his birthday, holding an elaborate programme by Eja Nla Entertainment, tagged “Made in Ogbomoso”, to celebrate the birthday event.

On hearing the incident, policemen from Oluyole Division were said to have gone to the scene, from where his body was taken to the mortuary at Adeoyo Hospital, Ring Road.

Eja Nla was also said to be an actor in the Yoruba section of Nollywood, as he had posted on being at a location with popular actors such as Femi Adebayo and others.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police, Oyo State Command, has confirmed the murder of Eja Ńlá.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Adewale Osifeso, who confirmed the incident, said investigations were ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident and to apprehend the assailants.

The Police Command in Oyo State on Sunday confirmed the killing of a 51-year-old Ibadan businessman, Maduabuchi Owuamanam, by gunmen.

Owuamanam was murdered on Saturday at a relaxation spot at Oremeji Mokola area of Ibadan by yet-to-be identified gunmen.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the incident in a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan.

Osifeso said that investigation commenced immediately to unravel the circumstances surrounding the gruesome murder of Owuamanam.

He said that the incident was reported to the Police at about 22:10 hrs on Saturday by the wife of the deceased businessman, Christiana.

“The deceased was allegedly attacked and eventually murdered by unknown assailants around a relaxation spot at Oremeji Mokola area of Ibadan.

“Investigations are in top gear to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident and apprehend the perpetrators of the dastardly act,” the PPRO said.

He, however, called for calm among residents in the state, saying that the Police were already making progress with investigations, promising that “we will get to the root of the matter within a reasonable time.”
