Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has addressed the lingering tension between colleagues Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi, following a reported snub at a recent movie premiere.

The incident, which reportedly occurred on Sunday during the premiere of a film by Iyabo Ojo, drew public attention after Toyin Abraham was allegedly ignored by Funke Akindele while attempting to greet her, fueling speculation of renewed friction between the two actresses.

In a statement released on her social media platform, Iyabo Ojo sought to clarify the situation, revealing that both actresses have had a long-standing relationship marked by occasional disagreements.

According to her, she had previously intervened to reconcile the them after past disputes, including an instance where she publicly criticized Funke Akindele over a film issue, a move she admitted was inappropriate.

Iyabo Ojo explained that both parties had since resolved their differences and agreed to handle any future disagreements privately, avoiding public confrontations. She noted that their recent cordial interactions had reflected that understanding.

However, she disclosed that tensions resurfaced in December after Toyin Abraham raised concerns about her movie performance in cinemas, alleging possible sabotage. This development, she said, led to renewed speculation among fans, with some directing blame at Funke Akindele.

“I have tried my best, but at this point, I cannot beg anyone anymore. I honestly do not want to get involved,” she stated, urging the public to respect her decision to step back.

Addressing another issue, Iyabo Ojo clarified that Toyin Abraham was initially billed to feature in her upcoming movie, The Return of Arinzo, but had to withdraw due to exhaustion and travel commitments. She noted that the development required last-minute script adjustments to meet production deadlines.

While expressing disappointment over the ongoing tension, Iyabo Ojo maintained that she holds both actresses in high regard and remains hopeful that they will resolve their differences amicably.

A few hours ago, Funke Akindele shared an Instagram post clearly stating that she was getting married. The post shocked her fans, but the caption that accompanied the announcement later confirmed that it was a joke.

The mother of two was trying to play an April Fool’s prank on her fans, friends, and colleagues.

Despite the fact that the post was meant to entertain and cheer everyone into the new month of April, her comment section is filled with people volunteering for different positions to take during the wedding.

Taking to Instagram, the mother of two boys and gubernatorial aspirant of Lagos state, Funke Akindele shared stunning photos of herself as she wished herself a happy birthday.

Funke assured herself that God wouldn’t forsake her.

It would be recalled that six years after their marriage and several rumours of separation, Mr Bello finally confirmed their divorce in an early Thursday morning Instagram post.

The music producer and filmmaker revealed this on his Instagram page where he wrote, “Dear Friends and family, I need to let you know that Funke and I have separated. While it lasted, we shared many things and have created two beautiful children.

“The last two years have been tough for us. I have tried my best to fix things, but I believe it is beyond repair. 3 months ago and at Funke’s insistence, I moved out of the house and, apart from AMVCA, have not been able to get Funke to sit down amicably to discuss the future of our relationship.”

“I’m making this announcement, so the public knows we are both pursuing separate lives. We still have issues that need to be addressed, such as the custody and wellbeing of our children, which is paramount, and business interests that need to be disentangled, but I do not doubt that these will be resolved one way or the other.”

Popular Nollywood Actress, Funke Akindele, says the need to bring positive change to women, youth and children informed her acceptance to be the 2023 running mate to Lagos Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Governorship Candidate, Dr Olajide Adediran.

Akindele, who was unveiled by the Lagos state PDP on Tuesday at a carnival-like event that had the party’s candidates, leaders and members in attendance at Ikorodu, said her decision to join Adediran, popularly known as ‘Jandor’ was a huge sacrifice.

“So, I am going to put aside my career now, I am coming out for the women, the youths, we have talents in Nigeria, we need to explore what we have.”

“We should build a state where our children can live rather than running and staying abroad.”

”I am joining Jandor to bring a breath of fresh air to Ikorodu and Lagos,” she said.

Akindele, who noted that she initially ran away when nominated for the ticket, said God and the people promised to be behind her.

“We are youths, we can run, we have energy to fix Lagos state. For my Ikorodu people, I thank you, I will not put you to shame. PDP is taking over,” Akindele added.

Presenting the flag of the party to Akindele, Mr Philip Aivoji, the Lagos PDP Chairman, said it was time for PDP to take over leadership in the state.

“When the time of a thing has come, no one can cover it. By the power of God, we have come to light up Ikorodu and all parts of Lagos state.”

“By the Grace of God, victory is ours and it is certain in 2023,” Aivoji said.

Speaking, the 44-year-old PDP governorship candidate, Dr Olajide Adediran said his running mate was his age mate who has passion to improve the condition of lives of Lagosians.

Dr Adediran said both of them were already accomplished in their careers and had managed businesses and human beings before agreeing to bring a positive change to the people of the state.

“We have brought a breath of fresh air to the people of Lagos. My deputy is a brand that will connect to both the grassroots and the people in the cyber space.”

“Formally, I want to present to you what we have Christened a Breath of Fresh Air. It is a clear departure from the norm,” Adediran said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that in spite of the persistent rainfall, a huge number of PDP stalwarts and members gathered at the venue to unveil the star actress.

JJC Skillz Refutes Crisis Rumours with Funke Akindele

Nigerian music star JJC Skillz has played down the reports of a major crisis rocking his marriage.

Skillz and Funke have been married for almost six years and are blessed with a set of twins.

The music veteran’s son had earlier dragged his stepmother on Tiktok.

In a post shared via his Instagram page on Monday, April 11, 2022, JJC Skillz penned a message which indicated that all is well at home.

“The only rock I know that stays steady and the only institution I know that works is the FAMILY. London is cool but I’m missing home @funkejenifaakindele my love 😍Have loads of fun with the children. See you soon at home. The music veteran’s post came hours after it was reported that he had moved out of his home following issues with his wife.

His son, Benito hinted about the rumours being true after he commented on a Tiktok post that reported about the crisis in Bello’s home.

According to the young man, the actress is not who many people believe she is.

He also added that he lived in their house for two years and it was a horror.

The young man has since disabled all his social media pages except his YouTube channel.

Funke and JJC Skillz got married in 2016. They welcomed their set of twins in 2018.

This is the movie star’s second marriage. The mother of two was married to popular Oshodi based businessman, Adeola Kehinde Oloyede.

According to the Instagram blogger, JJC Skillz, before joining Funke Akindele in Nigeria had an initial understanding that the SceneOne production would be a family business having the duo as certified owners.

However, Funke Akindele has never stopped acting and making it clear that she’s the owner of SceneOne production and only allowed JJC Skillz to have a decent amount of money.

The source also revealed that aside from the SceneOne Company, the couple also agreed to take up private jobs, but Funke Akindele always came up with excuses why JJC Skillz should not take private jobs.

The blogger alleged that Funke Akindele rudely scolds JJC Skillz even when third parties are in their home.

From reliable sources in London, JJSkillz has said before joining Funke in Nigeria, the couple had an initial understanding that the Scene One Production will be a family business with Funke and Adbul as certified owners and will be run by both parties. Also aside from their production company both Abdul and Funke would be allowed to work in private jobs as well.

But after joining his better half, Funke never stopped behaving and making it clear that SceneOne Production is her own and will only let JJCskillz have a decent amount of money without having to explain himself and even that, Funke will have to see it as a reasonable excuse.

Funke at least provocation will scream in a rude manner even when third parties are around.

Funke will freely take on private jobs but when it comes to Skillz being approached for other jobs with no affiliations with their company, Funke will mostly come up with an excuse why Skillz can’t and shouldn’t take on the jobs, etc.

Skillz undoubtedly loves his wife but the conditions were most times not comforting considering the fact that he has other kids who also sometimes depend on him for financial support as a father.

Our sources in Lagos revealed that the property that Abdul rented was probably for his older kids to live comfortably when they come to visit Popsy in Nigeria anytime.

Abdul only gets to spend when Funke says so. So as a small chance availed itself, Abdul made some expenditures without a mutual authorisation from Funke.

Hence when Funke found out about the unaccounted millions of Naira not too extreme as per what they have made together, she got upset and the whole brouhaha started.
