Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has described health care delivery as a critical and valuable service that any government can give to its citizens.
Governor Adeleke stated this while declaring open the Imole-Icare Medical Outreach in Ede, Osun State.
He maintained that expanding access to quality health care services is the pro-people agenda of his government, therefore the decision of the government to rehabilitate all the Primary Health Care facilities across the state.
While commending the partner of the Medical Outreach, Icare foundation for their support to the state government, Governor Adeleke called on other indigenes of the state at home and in the diaspora to give back to the society.
Governor Adeleke advised government officials to follow due process in the procurement of any materials for government, warning that violators of procurement law would be sanctioned.
In a remark, the Commissioner for Health, Mr. Jola Akintola said the state government would continue to partner with well meaning individuals and organizations that would ensure a better welfare for the people.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health Dr Isiaka Adekunle had explained that the three day, Imole-Icare Medical Outreach is free for all citizens of the state.
