Wife of Osun State Governor, Mrs Titilola Adeleke has urged residents of Osun State, particularly mothers to make themselves available for the registration and distribution of Insecticide Treated Mosquito Net.

In a message to the residents, Mrs Adeleke expressed concern over the data revealing that 97% of Nigerians, most especially pregnant women and children were at risk of mosquito infested Malaria.

She said Osun was one of the states with high risk malaria in the country, hence the need for the people to cooperate with the government and it’s malaria partners in their bid to provide preventive measures through the treated nets.

The wife of the Osun Governor therefore charged the residents to provide correct information to the enumerators and collect the free net which will be distributed between 6th and 17th of this month.

“The Government and Roll Back Malaria Partners have provided insecticide treated mosquito nets free of charge to all households to protect you and your families from malaria. Now we can protect ourselves from malaria by hanging and sleeping inside the Insecticide Treated Nets every night.

Ensure that you air the net under a shade for 24hours before you hang and sleep inside every night. When everybody sleeps inside the mosquito nets, we are protected from mosquitos that spread malaria”
