The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Aremu Gbadebo has called on the Chief of Army Staff, Leiutenant General Farouk Yahaya to ensure peace and stability throughout the nation throughout his tenure.

Oba Gbadebo gave the advice while receiving the, the Chief of Army Staff at the Ake Palace.

The Egba monarch also advised him to promote professionalism in the Army.

Earlier, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Farouk Yahaya expressed his delight on his visit to Abeokuta and the Palace of Alake whom he described as a great mentor.

Lieutenant General Yahaya disclosed that his visit to the 81 Division was for operational purpose since assumption of office.

He called the Alake to support the army in maintaining law and order, peace and security in the country.

Chief of Army staff, Lieutenant General Farooq Yahaya has called on officers and men of the Nigerian Army to always be professional whenever they are discharging their responsibility. 

Lieutenant General Yahaya stated this during a working visit to Two Division Nigerian Army,  Adekunle Fajuyi cantonment,  Odogbo Barracks,  Oojo Ibadan.

He noted that the visit to the two Division became imperative to know the level of operation of the officers and how to do better in tackling security challenges. 

The Chief of Army staff stated further that the battle against insecurity bedeviling the nation is everybody’s responsibility hence the need for the military to partner sister agencies to wage war against it.

Lieutenant General Yahaya promised the continuous effort of the military to ensure that peace reign in the country.
