A former Commissioner of Health in Oyo State and stalwart of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Dr. Azeez Adeduntan has described the party’s State Executive led by Mr. Isaac Omodewu as an illegal body.

He stated this while addressing party members at the APC meeting of Ibadan South West Local Government.

Dr Adeduntan, who is the Osi Bashorun of Ibadanland reaffirmed his belief that the last year’s October 30th congress in Oyo State was an illegality and the executive which was the end result “is null and void as you cannot build something on nothing”.

On the way forward, he listed among other solutions, “that there is a need for harmonisation of ward and local Government executives immediately to allow peace to reign in Oyo APC”.

Dr Adeduntan enjoined the National headquarters of the party “to be objective on the appeal regarding the one man show affair calling a Congress and ensure harmonisation of executives at all levels to make APC a viable option in Oyo State come 2023”.

He noted that the period of impunity in the party should be over as he would not be looking akimbo to allow anyone to be rubbished while there are various options on the table to bring peace to the party.

The Oyo State Governorship hopeful enjoined members of the party and his supporters to remain calm in the face of unpleasant happenings in the state APC.

Also at the meeting included former Council chairmen, Gbenga Opaleye and Yomi Adefusi, and former federal legislator, Honourable Saheed Fijabi.
