Osun Correspondent Chapel Hails Oyetola over Ayantunji’s Appointment

Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Osun state chapter, has lauded Governor Gboyega Oyetola, for appointing the state Chairman of Osun State Council, Nigeria Union Journalists, NUJ, Mr Kehinde Ayantunji, as the Senior Special Assistant on Student Affairs and Social Mobilization. 

A statement by the Acting Chairman and Secretary of the Chapel, Mr Richard Akintade and Mr Lateef Dada, described the appointment as well deserving one.

According to the statement, the appointment of Ayantunji has further showed that Governor Gboyega Oyetola, gives preference to merit and competency. 

It noted that Ayantuji would bring his age-long experience in both students’ activism and journalism to bear in the discharge of his responsibilities.

The statement expressed optimism that the appointment of Ayantunji would further cement the relationship between the media and the government without compromise the rights of the citizens.

Oyetola Appoints Osun NUJ Chairman, Others as Senior Special Assistants

The Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Osun State Council, Mr Kehinde Ayantunji has been appointed as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Affairs and Social Mobilization.

The Chief Press Secretary, CPS to the Governor, Mr. Ismail Omipidan, who announced these and other appointments in a statement said all appointments take immediate effect.

Others appointments include Mr Kameel Oyedele as Special Adviser on Legislative Matters, Mr Oyintiloye Olatunbosun, State Adviser on Civic Engagement and Aremo Adelabu on Youths and Sports.

He also announced the following as Senior Special Assistants, Mr Okunade Akeem on Commerce, Mr Wahab Oyeniyi, Mineral Resources, Mr  Bisi Ogunkale Planning and Aderoju Akano, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

Others include Mr Bello Lukman, Social Intervention Programmes, Mr Adegboro Ilori on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and Fasilat Bola Jimoh Women and Children Affairs.

In a related development, the governor has named a foremost Pharmacist and former House Committee Chairman on Health Services for eight years, Hon. Leke Ogunsola, as the Chairman, Osun Primary Healthcare Development Board and Barrister Salman Adebayo Waliu as Commissioner, Osun Judicial Service Commission. 

The governor also named Mr Adegboyega Basheer Bello as the General Manager, Public Procurement Agency (PPA).
