The state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker while speaking in Abeokuta also hinted that the state had recorded thirteen deaths till date.

Dr. Coker said three of the one hundred and eight were from Abeokuta South while the remaining one was from Yewa South Local Government.

She hinted that the latest cases were asymptomatic and noted that the state government would go ahead on its plan to reopen the religious centres in due course.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Communications, Pastor Remmy Hazzan while speaking on the new cases said the state government subjected the staff of some companies along Sagamu-interchange to total COVID-19 test, when it was observed that they were not observing protocols for the virus which made the number to suddenly rise.
