The family of ten that were kidnapped last weekend at Ajaawa, Ogbomosho area of Oyo state have regained their freedom.

The victims including an Ibadan-based hotelier, Mr. Oyedokun Oyeniyi, his wife, Busayo Oyeniyi, his baby and seven other members of the family were kidnapped last Saturday at his hotel in Ajaawa while preparing for a family burial.

Radio Nigeria gathered that all of them were released yesterday

It was also gathered that the abductors had earlier demanded for the sum of thirty-two million naira as ransom.

It was however, learnt from a family source that the victims were released immediately after an undisclosed amount of money was given to the kidnappers.

Confirming the release, the Oyo state Public Relations Officer, Mr. Adewale Osifeso said the victims have all been released.

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Oyo State Command has paraded three suspected cattle thieves.

NSCDC, Commandant in Oyo state Alhaji Iskilu Akinsanya made this at the Corps Headquarters, Agodi Ibadan.

Alhaji Iskilu said the Agro Ranger team of the corps at Bolorundoro Village of Orire Local Government made arrest at Kara Market in Ogbomosho for the theft of two cows valued at five hundred thousand naira belonging to one Mohammed Bello.

Though the suspects, Aliu Beidu, Buba Bello and Shatari Buba confessed to the crime levelled against them and pleaded for leniency.

Commandant Akinsanya stated further that the suspects will be arraigned in court after the conclusion of the investigation. 

The NSCDC boss however warned those that are in habit of theft, cattle rustling and other criminal vices to vacate Oyo State as anybody caught will face the full wrath of the law.

He called on good people of the state to support the NSCDC by giving vital information to curb crime.
