For many months now the people of Temidire and Olorunsogo communities in Atiba Local Government Area in Oyo Town have been wondering about what could be responsible for frequent motor accidents at a certain portion of the expressway in their area.

According to them, at least three incidents of road mishaps are usually recorded weekly at the same spot along the Oyo-Ogbomoso express road claiming lives.

Yesterday night, the surveillance mounted at the spot paid off following the discovery of a big white onion laced with needles strategically placed on a section of the road by unknown persons.

One of the residents who is also a member of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, VGN, Kola Olaoye told Radio Nigeria that the discovery of the mysterious onion could be the likely answer to the cause of frequent accidents at the spot.
