Pandemonium broke out on Thursday afternoon at the New Garage area of Ibadan between some corp members and four police officers when the officers demanded money from the youth corpers.

A witness who does not want his name mentioned said the problem started when the officers during stop-and-search at Odo  Ona Kekere had allegedly demanded money from them.

This angered the corp members and they allegedly drove off in their Toyota Muscle car.

The police officers were reported to have immediately given them a chase and caught up with the corps members at the New garage where they allegedly shot at one of them.

This got the youths in the area angry as they allegedly pounced on one of the police officers while the three others fled the scene.

Radio Nigeria gathered that the corps members were coming from Oluyole local government where they had gone for their weekly community development service CDs.

It was also gathered that the injured corp member had been taken to an undisclosed hospital.

Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso said the case was being investigated.
