Residents of Osun State who participated in the local government election has described the election process as peaceful.

Some of them, who spoke with Radio Nigeria including Mr. Tunji Olanrewaju at Ward 10 unit 4 said the election has been peaceful with no violence.

.Also speaking, one of the candidates in the election, contesting for the post of a Councillor at Ward 10 in Egbedore, Mr. Omotayo Famoriyo said the conduct of the election has been free and fair.

Although no security personnel were seen at the polling unit visited at Olorunsogo, Ofatedo, Ido-Osun areas in Egbedore Local Government, as well at Osogbo and Ede local government areas, few police officers were seen in some strategic locations few metres away from the polling units to monitor the election process.

Meanwhile, electorates in some units in Osogbo, Ede, Egbedore, Ife, Ifelodun, Boripe, Irewole, Isokan local Government Areas including Ward 10, unit 3 Egbedore and Ward 5 unit 19 in Osogbo local government area said OSSIEC officials were not seen at polling units with electoral materials for the exercise.
