The District Superintendent, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Orí Oke Aanu District Headquarters, Ojoo, Ibadan, Oyo State, Pastor Isaiah Alade, led a “Thank You Walk” to applaud President Bola Tinubu for securing the release of 38 abducted CAC worshipers in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The abduction reported on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, triggered nationwide outrage and prompted some churches to declare days of fasting and prayer for the victims’ safe return.
Five days later, the federal government announced the release of all abductees, sparking widespread relief and celebrations.
During the motorcade procession from Orí Oke Aanu, Ojoo to the CAC Headquarters in Bashorun, Ibadan, Pastor Alade expressed gratitude to God while appreciating the president, the Kwara State governor and security agencies for their efforts.




Addressing the congregation, the General Secretary, Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Emmanuel Mapur, commended President Tinubu for ensuring the victims’ safe return.
He also praised Pastor Alade and CAC Mountain of Mercy, Ojoo, for organising the Appreciation Walk.
The General Superintendent CAC, Pastor Gabriel Dada, urged the federal government to strengthen security measures, praying for divine intervention in Nigeria’s security challenges.
The Convener, Pastor Alade, noted that the church had engaged in intense prayers for the worshipers’ freedom.
Clergy and worshipers also offered prayers for the nation, President Tinubu, the Governor of Kwara State, the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and church leaders across denominations.
