The controversial musician, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been arraigned before Magistrate Court 1 sitting in Ota, Ogun State, over nine-count charges.

The charges include assault, occasional harm, stealing, resisting arrest and serious assault on a police officer, among others.

Portable, who had been having repeated encounters with law enforcement agencies over various offences, was denied bail by the court and subsequently ordered to be remanded at the Ibara Correctional Centre in Abeokuta.

The magistrate adjourned the case to January 19, 2026, for further hearing.

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested controversial musician Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, again, and ordered an investigation into a viral video showing his alleged assault while in custody.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Oluseyi Babaseyi who confirmed the arrest, said Portable was currently being detained by the police, but described the actions seen in the circulating video as unacceptable and contrary to police standards.

Mr Babaseyi condemned the alleged beating of the handcuffed suspect and the filming of suspects in custody, stressing that the police do not permit such conduct under any circumstance.

The police spokesperson assured that the Command had ordered a full investigation into the incident captured in the video, adding that appropriate action would be taken against any personnel found culpable.

Although the reason for Portable’s arrest was yet to be disclosed as at the time of filing this report, it would be recalled that he was recently involved in a violent scuffle with one of his wives and other family members.

Controversial Nigerian street singer Habeeb Badmus, popularly known as portable has made an emotional public appeal to his wife, Bewaji Badmus, pleading for forgiveness and reconciliation.

In a live video, he appealed to the public to help him beg his wife not to be angry with him. He stated that he is fully back to her, and the jazz Ashabi used for him is no longer in effect

The street singer said this isn’t the fight for Bewaji to fight him or push him away, as he is now fully hers. He declared that she is his legal wife and he can’t marry any other lady.

He revealed that he has moved her out of Sango for her safety and stated that his other girlfriends are just baby mamas.

 “Please, everyone should help me beg Bewaji not to be angry with me. Her husband is back with her. All the jazz that the other lady used on me is over. This is not the time to fight me. She should not push me outside. I am now hers fully

She is my legal wife, and I can’t marry any other lady. The rest are baby mamas. I have moved her out of Sango for her safety. She should please forgive me for having children outside. It is part of the price to pay for being a glorious musician”.

Recalled, on New Year that Portable and Ashabi had engaged in a heated argument, where he stated that Bewaji is his only wife and the rest her babymamas. In the clip, Ashabi who held tightly to the singer, told him to kill her.

In an Instagram video, Portable claimed that Ashabi came to his house to attack his family. He claimed that his pregnant wife was beaten mercilessly, and guns were pointed at his children. He further claimed Ashabi’s mother accused him of using charm on her daughter and questioned why he didn’t buy a car for her.

Late last year, Bewaji had confirmed that she was expecting her third child with the singer. She shared a cute video of herself and her bump on her Instagram page.

Following this, the singer shared a video of himself with Bewaji. In the clip, the street singer was seen playing with his wife as he showered her with money.

Portable is currently married to Bewaji, who has two kids with him. The singer also has four kids with three women. His first baby mama is unknown; his second is Keji, and his third is actress Ashabi, who has two kids for him.

Their marriage hasn’t been smooth sailing too, as the two had a public fallout last year, but the lovebirds found their ways back to each other’s arms.

Nigerian street-hop artist, Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable, has spoken out following his release on bail, stating that he is now focused on making money rather than getting into trouble.

The controversial singer, who was recently granted bail, made the statement in a viral video, reassuring fans and followers that he has learnt his lesson.

An Ogun State Magistrate court sitting in Isabo area of Abeokuta had on Thursday granted Portable to a bail of two million naira.

Portable was arraigned on a five- count charge bothering on conspiracy to commit felony, unlawful assault on government officials while on duties.

“I’m not looking for trouble again, only money,”

The singer has been in the news for various controversies, but his latest remarks suggested he is ready to turn a new leaf and concentrate on his music career.

His fans will be keen to see if he would abide to his resolution.

The Ogun State Police Command has declared Mr Habeeb Olalomi, popularly known as “Portable”, wanted for his involvement in a violent attack on government officials carrying out their lawful duties.

The Police Public Relations office, Miss Omolola Odutola who made this known in a statement in Abeokuta said, officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Ota Zonal Office were conducting an enforcement exercise at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota, when they encountered an elderly man, later identified as Portable’s father, at Odogwu Bar in the area.

 According to Miss Odutola, after officials identified themselves and requested the approved building plan, the father informed them that his son was unavailable.

She explained that later, Portable, armed with a firearm and other dangerous weapons, led a gang of nine thugs in a violent attack on the unarmed officials. 

The statement adds that the enforcement officers sustained various bodily injuries but managed to escape and reported the incident to the Ota Area Command, which subsequently escalated the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, for further action.

Miss Odutola said nine accomplices were arrested, while Portable fled the scene and has since gone into hiding.

 According to PPRO, Multiple formal invitations were sent to him, requesting his presence at the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, which he deliberately ignored without cause or legal representation.

The statement appealed to Members of the public to assist the police by providing any valuable information that could lead to his immediate arrest, noting that anyone found aiding or harbouring the suspect would face legal consequences.

Nine associates of Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, have been arraigned before the Abeokuta Magistrates’ Court on charges of assault, obstruction, and armed violence.

The suspects, aged between 19 and 28 are facing multiple charges including felony, assault, obstruction, armed violence with cutlasses and guns, conduct likely to cause a breach of peace, and intent to kill.

They were allegedly involved in an incident that took place on Wednesday around 10:00 in the morning in Oke-Osa, Sango-Ota, in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area.

Police Prosecutor, Sunday Ekong, explained that the incident erupted when the suspects, allegedly acting in concert with the controversial musician Portable, confronted officials from the Ota Zonal Planning office of the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, during an inspection of portable’s business premises.

Magistrate O.M. Somefun however granted bail to each of the nine suspects, setting the bail at 5 million naira each.

The suspects are required to provide sureties who are licensed bond agents registered with the Ogun State government. 

The case was adjourned till March 17 for further proceedings.

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as portable has thrown heavy shade at Davido and Asake for missing out on winning a Grammy award.

The ‘Zeh Nation’ boss took to his Instagram page as he shared a video where he mocked the singers for losing at the 67th Grammy award, held on February 2, at the Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles.

According to him, they had avoided him but the international awarding committee did not recognise them with an award.

In the video, Portable added that he and Naira Marley are the ones who deserve to win the award. The singer mentioned the fact that a female artist defeated his colleagues and confidently declared that he would win the Grammy.

Throwing shades at Asake, he stated that the singer wore a military uniform to the award ceremony, adding that the event was not about war but about glory.

He urged Skepta to submit their collaboration, Tony Montana, for the next Grammy Awards and also encouraged Olamide to submit their hit song, Zazu, for consideration.

Recall that singer Tems bagged an award for the best African music performance ahead of Burna Boy, Davido, Asake and others.

Queen Dami, the estranged wife of Late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi has come under fire over her affair with singer, Portable.

It would be recalled that days back that there had been news that the former Alaafin’s wife is in a relationship with Portable, who recently got married to an actress.

Controversial blogger Gist Lover also alleged that the mother of one is in a relationship with Portable by sharing screenshots of their comments.

The comments were captured at different times when they exchanged endearing words such as my king and queen, also using love emojis.

Finally, speaking on their relationship in an interview on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Portable hinted at being in a relationship with her.

The father of five debunked reports that he is the father of her child; stating that Queen Dami was only a fan before the death of her husband, the King.

According to him, things switch up from there as he isn’t one to have an affair with people’s wives.

The video which has caused a stir online has left many bashing Queen Dami for disrespecting the Monarchy.

Queen Dami’s marriage to the late Alaafin crashes

Recall that Queen Dami was married to the late monarch but the marriage crashed after she allegedly broke a palace rule.

According to reports, the Queen was locked up in a cell after allegedly going against a palace rule, an act that prompted her to leave her marriage and run away from the palace to Lagos on April 2021.

She later blamed the whole act on frustration and wrong advice from friends. Unfortunately, her relationship with the monarch was never repaired before his demise last year.

The Police Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, has said that Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable will be facing at least a six-count charge when he appears at the court following his unruly conduct and incitement against police officers.

In a Twitter post, the FPRO explained why the police were slow to act against MC Oluomo, who threatened some electorates during the 2023 elections but were swift to pick Portable up.

The Force PRO while responding to a user, tweeted, “I am sure u are very awake as I have addressed MCs case, but portable has more than 6 count charges to attend to, apart from resisting arrest and injuring a policeman.

“He will be charged to court for beating up a guy in Otta, who filed a petition to CP Ogun.

“There are many pending cases of assaults on people and attacks, and he will be investigated because people have complained against him.

“So, there is no sentiment in law, let him appear in court, and allow the judge to listen to the charges against him. He has no constitutional immunity anyway. Ire o.”

Portable had during the week, shared an Instagram Live video claiming that some police personnel stormed his bar at Sango Ota at the instance of an Internet fraudster.

The video, which has since gone viral, sparked some outrage online, which prompted the Ogun State Police Command to invite the singer to their office. However, Portable refused to show up.

However, the singer was picked up on Friday by policemen and is expected to spend the weekend in detention.

The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of the controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly called Portable ZaZuu. 

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Abimbola Oyeyemi made this known in a statement in Abeokuta.

Mr Oyeyemi noted that the Command had earlier issued a 72-hour ultimatum for the sensational singer to report himself to the nearest police station or be arrested by Friday.

The Police Public Relations Officer also confirmed that Portable’s father had pleaded on his son’s behalf and promised to bring him to the station.

The Nigeria Police, Ogun State Command says the hip-hop artist Habib Okikiola popularly called Portable has reported himself at the Command’s headquarters Eleweran, Abeokuta.

A statement by the Command’s spokesperson, Mr Abimbola Oyeyemi made available in Abeokuta, explained that the artist was requested to report himself following a viral video where he ordered a group of boys to beat up another showbiz artist.

Mr. Oyeyemi, who explained that the artist was later released to a surety after interrogation at Public Complaint Bureau Department, noted that Habeeb Okikiola reported himself alongside his father and manager. 

The police Command spokesperson said the police had also invited the assaulted victim for his side of the story to enable the Police complete an investigation on the matter.

Tragedy struck at the Iyana Ilogbo area of Ogun State when a Range Rover, belonging to fast rising Nigerian singer, Portable, hit a bike rider.

The driver of the car, who is one of Portable’s associates, was running errands when the sad event happened.

Portable’s manager, who confirmed the incident via telephone chat, noted that the victim died after he was rushed to the hospital.

His manager, named Theresa, told our correspondent, “I’ll be very fast with you because I’m very busy. I was the one that sent one of his boys to go and buy something for me.

“On their way going, maybe the bike man thought that Portable was the one driving or they wanted to collect money or whatever, but the man drove to the vehicle. That was how they hit the man.“They called me. I left where I was with Portable. We went there. The guy that drove the car rushed the man to the hospital. I got to the hospital and transferred N25,000 to them.“They said N20,000 was for treatment while N5,000 was for X-ray.”

She noted that when she got to the hospital, the bike rider was complaining about pains on his back, noting that his two female passengers were unhurt.

The manager continued, “When I left the hospital, I gave them another N8,000 to take a cab to where they were going to conduct the X-ray. Immediately I left there, I reported to the Divisional Police Officer and the Commissioner of Police.“I called DPO Sango and DPO Ifo to explain what happened.

After 10 minutes, they called me back from the hospital that the man had given up.“When I got the call, I had to call the boy that was in the scenario to go to the station to report himself. He is at the station as I’m talking to you like this.”

When our correspondent reached out to the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, he stated that the DPO had not briefed him on the matter, stating that he would find out.“The DPO there has not sent the report to me. So I’ll find out,” Oyeyemi said.

Portable had last week welcomed a child with his lover, Feranmi, and the naming ceremony of the child was held on Tuesday (today).

Nigerian singer, Portable , has taken to social media to thank God for his life after surviving a ‘spiritual attack’ from his perceived enemies.

Portable, who recently sacked his entire music team for allegedly showing him fake love, rammed his Range Rover into a building’s railing on Tuesday night, March 29, 2022.
He took to his  Instagram  story to share videos from the accident scene and attributed the unfortunate incident to an attack by some spiritual forces.

The video shows his car trapped in a garden bed after knocking down the iron gate in front of a house in the neighborhood.

Sharing the video, he thanked God for saving him, as there was no major damage.

He said, and I quote:

“Thank God, modupe nothing spoil, Zazu motor”, he captioned the video.
