Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been declared the winner of the APC Presidential Primary held at Eagle Square, Abuja.

Asiwaju Tinubu polled 1,271 to defeat other contenders.

The event which started yesterday evening saw, seven aspirants stepped down for Tinubu, one stepping down for Osinbajo and others holding on to their aspirations.

Former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has picked the N100 million Presidential Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Tinubu, who is currently in Saudi Arabia for lesser Hajj, was represented by some of his close associates including House of Representatives member from Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke; member representing Agege Federal Constituency in the green chamber, Babatunde Adejare; and a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal.

Faleke, Lawal and other loyalists of the APC National Leader picked up the presidential forms for him at the party’s national secretariat located at Blantyre Street, Wuse 2, Abuja, at exactly 3pm.

Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba; Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello; amongst others have already picked up the APC presidential forms while others are expected to follow suit in the coming days.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige; Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi; former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha; former Abia State Governor, Orji Kalu; are amongst those jostling to be the flagbearer of the party.
