The Vicar, Saint Anne’s Church, Molete, Ibadan and Archdeacon, Molete Archdeaconry, the Venerable Olusegun Faleye has admonished Christians to remain focused on Christ and not be discouraged by the happenings around them.
The Venerable Faleye gave the admonition in his sermon at the first Sunday service of the year held in the church auditorium.


He explained that there are many terrible things happening all over the world but Christians must not be weary in their faith in God for there are better days ahead.


While speaking on the theme “Next Level of Glory”, the Venerable Faleye pointed out that some of the things needed to be done to enable the Christians to move to the next glory are that they should love their neighbours, must not relent in their faith and also evangelize the gospel of Christ.

If you as Christians must move to the next level, you must learn to be prayerful and not allow your faith to go weary”, He said.
The Vicar added that Christians must give generously to God and the needy and shun sins in any form.

There was the celebration of Holy Communion at the Thanksgiving Service.

Christians must be humble in resembling Jesus Christ who rode on a donkey into Jerusalem.
The Vicar,Saint Anne’s Church, Molete,Ibadan and Archdeacon,Molete Archdeaconry, the Venerable Olusegun Faleye gave the admonition in a sermon in commemorating Palm Sunday.


The Vicar who described humility as a great virtue said with humility comes patience,peace and gentleness.


The Venerable Faleye explained that when a man was humble,it would make him to recognize his shortcomings and limitations.


Palm Sunday also known as passion week heralds the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.


It is the first day of the holy week and the Sunday before Easter.
Highlight of the day was a walk round the church vicinity by the congregation who were waving palm fronds and singing in remembrance of Jesus triumphant
entry into Jerusalem.

The wife of a former Vicar at Saint Anne’s Church,Molete,Ibadan,Mrs Victoria Iluyomade has appealed to women to join hands with their husbands to train their children.
Mrs Iluyomade made the appeal in a sermon at the church service commemorating this year’s Mothering Sunday.
She explained that, it was only when parents jointly trained their children that the children could turn up well.
Mrs Iluyomade while stressing the importance of woman in the house, admonished women to nip in the bud any vices noticed in their children as they ,mothers ,
usually stayed more at home than fathers.
The special service witnessed women carrying out the roles of the wardens,cross bearers,drummers and organists.
The women who were gaily dressed in blue and white attires danced to the beautiful lyrics celebrating motherhood.
Mothering Sunday is celebrated worldwide on the third Sunday in Lent.
On this day, daughters are expected to attend their mother church to worship.
Highlight of the programme was the presentation of gifts to mothers by the wife of the vicar of the church,Mrs Olaoluwayimika Faleye who also led the prayers of intercession.

Nigerians have been advised to seek divine intervention to reclaim everything they have lost in previous years. 

A Christian cleric, Reverend Emmanuel Olubiyi made the call in a sermon at the crossover service held at Assemblies of God Church, Apata, Ibadan.

Reverend Olubiyi explained that in an attempt to reclaim the lost glory, Nigerians should give their lives to Christ and follow his commandments. 

He explained that peace, love and harmony could only be achieved with the help of God. 

The cleric encouraged the nation to also seek the face of the Lord to restore the lost glory of the land once filled with milk and honey.

Christians have been urged to stay connected to God in other to do exploit in their endeavours in the year 2020.

Senior Pastor, Global Harvest Church, Outer Ring Road Church, Apata,  Ibadan, Pastor Jonny Faleye gave the charge during watch night service.

Pastor Faleye who noted that, if God’s instructions were strictly adhered to, lines will fall in pleasant places naturally.

The cleric, from the topic “Soaring High” said that, Christians should not relent in praying for themselves and the nation at large, to attain greater heights, in the New Year.

Christians have been advised to face the New Year with a determination to correct all the ills in the nation as individuals.

Reverend Olusegun John of the Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA Church, Challenge, Ibadan stated this in a crossover message.

Reverend John charged Christians to all be agents of change in the society.
He however called for concerted efforts at tackling corruption.

Also speaking, the Assistant Priest, Saint Annes Church, Molete, Ibadan, Venerable Adewale Sanda has called on Christians to walk with God in the New Year, to enjoy his dominion.

The cleric urged Nigerians to do things right, restrategise, and depend solely on God for all round sufficiency.

Venerable Sanda, who said the foundation of every house will determine the load it would carry, assured people that God is in charge always.

Part of the activities of the New Year service include, Bible reading, and congregational song, rendered by the members of the church.

Members of the congregation also used the occasion to pray for national peace, unity, and progress.
