A newly equipped temporary chamber has been inaugurated for the use of Ondo State House of Assembly.

Dedicating the temporary chamber, Bishop Simeon Borokini charged the lawmakers to remain committed to the interest of the people they are representing in the course of their legislative activities.

Bishop Borokini saluted the courage of the lawmakers for not allowing the circumstances and conditions in the main hallow chamber to detract them from performing their oversight functions.

Speaking on the new development, the Speaker, Mr Bamidele Oleyelogun stated that the decision to upgrade the library office to temporary chamber was to ensure legislative activities were not suspended unnecessarily.

Mr Oleyelogun maintained that the interest of the entire citizens of Ondo State is paramount to the lawmakers, hence the latest sacrifice to use the temporary chamber.

Correspondent, Olumide Abudu reports that prayers were held for the state government, the lawmakers and members of staff of the assembly among others.

It would be recalled that the House had in the last two months adjourned sitting over dilapidated nature of the hallowed chamber and the report of alleged snake saga.
