Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde says the late Ibadan-born business mogul, who also served as a Director of Punch Newspapers, Dr. Lekan Are ran a good race in life and left indelible footprints on the sands of time.
Governor Makinde, who paid a visit to the Ring Road home of the Ares said that his government would make his burial a celebration of life.
He promised to deploy the Commissioner for Special Duties, Chief Bayo Lawal to liaise with the family to firm up the burial plans.
Governor Makinde said Dr. Are contributed immensely to the economy of Oyo State through education, hospitality and Journalism which according to him cannot be quantified.
