Civil servants in Oyo state have been reacting to the thirty thousand naira National Minimum Wage signed by the State government and the organized Labor in the state.

Radio Nigeria correspondent who visited the State Secretariat reports that workers were seen in groups discussing the new development.

Some of those who spoke with Radio Nigeria described the newly signed thirty thousand minimum wage as a welcome development and urged government to review the wage from time to time as agreed upon.

The workers advised their colleagues to put in their best to justify the state government’s gesture.

Oyo state government and the Organized labor yesterday reached an agreement to pay the thirty thousand naira National new minimum wage.

The new wage takes immediate effect in Oyo state.
