NURTW Threat: Oyo Police Command Deploys Officers to Motor Parks
The Oyo State Police Command has assured members of the public of peaceful atmosphere in the state against the threat by NURTW members over the newly inaugurated Park Managers by Governor Seyi Makinde.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo state, Mr. Olugbenga Fadeyi stated this in an interview with Radio Nigeria over the threats of the Union.
Mr Fadeyi said the command had deployed officers of the force to all parks in Oyo state to maintain law and order.
He noted that any individuals or groups planning to jeopardize efforts of the Government and the security agencies in maintaining a peaceful atmosphere in Oyo would face the full wrath of the law.
The police spokesman stated further that people of the state should go about their lawful businesses without the fear of being molested or humiliated by members of the NURTW.
He added that members of the public could also assist the command by giving out useful information or unusual characters in their environments for quick intervention.
