The Delta State Government says it has set up holding centres at the state-owned airports and seaports with access to international waters to monitor potential carriers of the coronavirus disease, which is now a national and global health emergency.

The State Commissioner for Health Dr. Mordi Ononye, stated this in Asaba, at a briefing with journalists as part of preparations by the state government following the discovery of the first case of the COVID-19 in the country.
