Akinjide was a symbol of legalism in Nigeria and beyond – Oyo CJ
Nigerians have continued to pay their respects to the late Chief Justice of Nigeria, Chief Richard Akinjide who passed on recently.
Among the callers at the Idi-Ishin residence of Chief Richard Akinjide was the Chief Judge of Oyo State and Chairman of the Judicial Service Commission, Justice Muntar Abimbola who was accompanied by top officers in the state’s judiciary.
Justice Abimbola in a condolence message described the deceased as a symbol of legalism both nationally and internationally.
Others stakeholders in Oyo state judiciary who accompanied the CJ included Justices Aderonke Aderemi, Moshood Abass and Iyabo Yerima.
On the condolence list is also the remark of a representative of the alumni of Oduduwa College Ile Ife, where the deceased was described as an epitome of brilliance.
Individuals and groups are still paying condolence visits to the residence of the late statesman.
