Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has expressed the readiness of his government to transform the Akufo farm settlement into an agricultural estate that would positively impact the state economy.

He stated this after an inspection tour of the facility along Eruwa road, Ibadan, Ido local government.

Governor Makinde said that the state would not relent in aggregating comparative advantages in agriculture to advance the state in line with the four cardinal programs of his administration.

Governor Makinde who explained that a private farm has been using the facility to produce tomato and pepper through a green house farming approach said other stakeholders would be incorporated to harness benefit for the local market and export.

It would be recalled that Akufo farm estate was one of the first two projects of the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency, OYSADA recently passed into law was billed to embark upon.
