Another five patients have tested positive for coronavirus at the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, and have been transferred to the Ogun State Isolation facility at Ikenne.
Head of Public Relations of the hospital, Mr. Segun Orisajo who confirmed the cases, in a statement, said the patients that returned positive included two staff of FMC, a nurse and an administrative staff.
He stated that no medical doctor at the facility had tested positive for coronavirus.
Mr. Orisajo explained that the Medical Director, of the facility, Prof Adewale Musa-Olomu had also re-assured staff of the hospital of their personal safety and protection, including the users of the Centre.
The release said Prof. Musa-Olomu urged the public to disregard information aimed at creating panic, fear and anxiety in their minds.
