Nigeria Police, Ogun State Command has arrested a twenty-nine-year-old man, Buhari Abiola for forcefully having carnal knowledge of a twenty-one-year-old lady.
A statement by the command spokesman Mr. Abimbola Oyeyemi said the arrest of the suspect followed a report from the victim at Adigbe Divisional Headquarters.
He said the complainant reported that she was selling fried potatoes when the suspect came to buy and asked her to collect money in his house which is a stone throw.
Mr. Oyeyemi said when the complainant got to the suspect house, he forcefully dragged her into his room where he had carnal knowledge of her against her consent.
The spokesman said on interrogation the suspect confessed the raped.
Mr. Oyeyemi said the commissioner of police has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to anti-human trafficking and child labour unit for further investigation and prosecution.
