Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, TRACE, says eleven persons died in various road crashes while another forty-four others sustained injuries within the same period.

Spokesman of the agency, Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi, made this known in a statement in Abeokuta.

He explained that three hundred and forty five road traffic offenders were apprehended throughout the state during the ongoing COVID- 19 lockdown.

The TRACE spokesman hinted that officers of the agency turned back nine hundred and seventy two vehicles at various border towns in the state during the ongoing lockdown.

Mr. Akinbiyi stated that forty six point three one percent of the crashes was caused by speed, twenty four point four zero percent was caused  by dangerous driving while eight point six four percent caused by bad tyres.

He said seven point two eight percent of the crashes was caused by driving against traffic and thirteen point three seven percent by other reasons.
