Ekiti State Government says it will correct errors of omission in the list of donors and contributors to the coronavirus pandemic eradication in the state.

The Coordinator, Ekiti Taskforce on COVID 19, Professor Bolaji Aluko stated this at a press briefing addressed by the committee in Ado-Ekiti.

Professor Aluko said that the names published was not an attempt to rubbish anybody in the state but to ensure accountability and transparency.

Corroborating this, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Yinka Oyebode expressed disappointment at the headlines of media organizations especially, national dailies which reported that some former governors in the state did not make the list.

Mr Oyebode maintained that the amount donated and people who contributed to support Ekiti State Government was to ensure that the good people of the state were carried along in the scheme of things.

He observed that many leaders in the state including the former governors who were part of the committee used their personal contacts, efforts and time to contribute to the prevention of the virus and wondered why some media Organizations could make it public that certain people failed to make the list.

The Commissioner for Information and Values Orientation, Mr Muyiwa Olumilua appreciated those who had contributed to the success and progress of the state and encouraged those who were making efforts to support the state government.
