Detectives at Nigeria Police, Ogun State Command have arrested three suspects for hacking into a victim bank account and siphoning three hundred thousand naira. 

A statement by the command’s spokesman Mr Abimbola Oyeyemi said the suspects are Adebayo Oluwatosin, Obinna Abiogbe, and Segun Adefunmi.

The police spokesman said the arrest was made after a Point of Sale operator alerted the police that one of the suspects bore names different to the one on the bank account.

Mr. Oyeyemi said detectives detailed to the scene arrested the suspect and contacted the account owner, who confirmed that three hundred thousand naira had been removed from his account.

The suspects according to the statement had confessed to been internet fraudster, who specialized in hacking into people’s bank account and siphoning their money.

The police statement also said the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kenneth Ebrimson has ordered full scale investigation into the past activities of the suspects and to arraign them before a court of competence jurisdiction.
