Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has directed the resumption of guided religious activities throughout the State

The governor while briefing newsmen in Akure, however, said the worship centers would only be opened for two times in a week, Sundays for churches, Fridays for Mosques while weekly meetings were to remain suspended.

Other guidelines included proper and compulsory use of facemasks by worshippers, three people sitting arrangement on a pew alongside provision of running water with soap and sanitizer while the premises must be decontaminated before and after the services.

Governor Akeredolu, who expressed belief in divine intervention towards overcoming the Covid-19 challenge, warned that any church or mosque found violating the rules would be closed down indefinitely.
