The new Commissioner of Police in Oyo state, Mr Nwachuku Enwonwu has called on officers and men of the command to always be civil while discharging their duties to earn the trust of the masses.

Mr Enwonwu stated this while taking over the Oyo state Police Command from the outgoing Police boss in the state, Mr Shina Olukolu.

Mr Enwonwu affirmed that any police officer found terrorizing the public instead of protecting them would be dealt with.

While handling over the Command to the new Commissioner, the outgoing police boss, Mr Shina Olukolu said working in Oyo state had been a smooth challenge which would forever assist him wherever he finds himself.

Mr Olukolu therefore called for the continuous support of the officers, community, traditional and religious leaders as well as the Governments, to afford his successor free hand to operate.

The transition ceremony was devoid of usual pump and pageantry in order to comply with social distancing directive.
