A group of youths named “Hadassah Mofee” has embarked on an anti-rape protest, to condemn the nefarious act.

The group on a visit to radio Nigeria Dugbe, Ibadan dressed in black attires holding placards and singing on the recent increase on rape and killings.

The protesters carried placards with various inscriptions which included, “being a woman is not a crime” “her dressing is not the problem”  “no to violence against women and “rapists and murderers roam free” “our no means no”.

Some of the protesters said the issue of rape had become a terror for them as there was no place safe for the vulnerable youths.

They therefore called on the government and relevant authorities to come to their aid and put a stop to the act by meting out stiffer penalty for rapists.
