Oyo Sate Government is to dualize 3.6 kilometre Airport road in Ibadan.
Rehabilitation and reconstruction of seven other roads around the state are also billed to commence soon.
The Commissioner for Works and Transport, Professor Raphael Afonja, who disclosed this over the weekend in Ibadan, said the projects were parts of the promises made by the administration to bring succour to the people of the state.
The roads listed for rehabilitation are the 21 kilometers Oko-Olokemeji-Arolu road, 2.5kilometers FBC Agbeja-Apata-Ajawa, which spurs to Oke-Ayo road will be rehabilitated while Ogbomoso-INEC- Afunleketa- Iresaadu (16kilometers) will be reconstructed.
In Oke-Ogun region, Idiko Ile -Ijio – Wasimi road in Itesiwaju local government will also be reconstructed.
Professor Afonja further revealed that the 4.85 kilometers Odo-Ona Kekere-Arapaja road in Ibadan will be reconstructed alongside the 4.8 kilometers Akala way- Wofun road as well as the 20 kilometers Akobo- Olorunda Abaa- Oritamerin road in Ibadan.
According to the commissioner, Governor Seyi Makinde has a strong drive to provide infrastructure and basic amenities to the people of the State, with a view to improving their standard of living.
He added that the roads have been captured in the 2020 budget of the State and work would commence on the roads as soon as approved by the governor.
