Christian worshippers in Ibadan today converged on their worship centers to worship God after religious activities which had been suspended due to coronavirus pandemic, resumed.

At Assemblies of God Church, Apata, worshippers maintained physical and social distancing in compliance with the Oyo State Task Force on COVID-19 directives to check the spread of the disease.

While stressing the need for religious bodies to adhere with government’s directive, the cleric in charge of the assembly, Reverend Emmanuel Olubiyi disclosed that the church had equally inaugurated its own task force to enforce compliance among members.

In his homily, Reverend Olubiyi who spoke on the theme “Courage in The Time of trouble”, said Christians should put all their trust in God amidst the fight against the dreaded disease.

Reverend Olubiyi also enjoined faithful to pray for an end to the pandemic ravaging the world.
