Residents of Ekiti state and vulnerables are to enjoy economic stimulus in form of social Assistance, FADAMA Programme, and a household micro and small enterprise support programme through a collaboration between the World Bank and the state government.

Governor kayode fayemi made this known while inaugurating a Ten Man Team on the State’s COVID19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus in Ado Ekiti.

Governor Fayemi who highlighted the benefits of the initiatives to include enhancement of social safety net, social assistance and basic services, noted that the scheme would also ensure food Security in the state.

He urged Members of the State’s Care Committee to see their appointments as another call to service, saying that the interest of the state should be placed far above personal issues.

The commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, M Femi Ajayi would serve as the chairman of the Committee, while Special Adviser on Investment, Trade and Innovations, Mr. Akin Oyebode, Chairman, Ekiti State community and Social Development Agency, Dr. Yemi Alatise are among the members.

Speaking on behalf of other members of the Committee, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Development Partnerships, Mrs. Margaret Fagboyo, revealed that the COVID-19 State Care Recovery and Economic Stimulus was another package of opportunities for Ekiti people to feel the presence of the state government.
