An Ibadan Chief Magistrate Court has ordered the remand of two middle aged men for kidnapping.  

The Suspects, Nasir Lawal, aged 50 and Shamsu Auwa aged 26 are facing sixteen counts charge bothering on kidnapping and collection of Ransom. 

The Police Prosecutor, Inspector  Opeyemi Olagunju told the court that the suspects and others had involved  in various kidnapping  in the state and had collected millions of naira as ransom from their victims.

According to the charge, the places in which the suspects perpetrated their evil acts included Iroko village and Adesakin village both in Ibadan.

The charges were read to the suspects in Hausa language because they did not understand either Yoruba or English language.

There plea was not taken in court.

The Chief Magistrate Mr.  Olamide Hamzat therefore ordered that the suspects be kept at the state CID pending the opening of Agodi Custodial Center. Sunday Ogunyemi
