Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has sworn in Mr Tayo Oluseye Oluwatuyi as Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
This followed the resignation of the erstwhile SSG, Mr Ifedayo Abegunde, who also defected from APC to PDP.
Meanwhile, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has tested negative for Covid-19.
Governor Akeredolu who disclosed this in Akure during the weekly broadcast on coronavirus at the Government House had announced being positive for the virus on his official Twitter handle on June 30th of last month
Describing Covid-19 as real, deadly, willing and able to wreak havoc on individuals and families if permitted, Governor Akeredolu said the negative result was received earlier hours of the day
The governor, who was asymptomatic throughout his isolation, however encouraged the state residents to adhere to all measures put in place to combat the spread of the dreaded virus.
