“Impotent” Man Arraigned over Sexual Assault of a Minor

The Osun State Police Command has arraigned a 30-year-old-man, Adeoye Makinde who is allegedly ‘impotent’ before a Magistrates’ Court sitting in Osogbo for alleged sexual assault on a minor. 

Makinde was accused of inserting his finger into the vagina of a 13-year-old girl.

The prosecutor, Mr Abiodun Fagboyinbo said Makinde committed the offence last month, 16 June 2020 at about 1:30 PM at Isona Area of Ilesha. 

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against him. 

Counsel for the accused, Mr Tunbosun Oladipupo, while pleading for his bail condition told the court that the accused was impotent and not capable of having sexual intercourse with a woman.

The Magistrate, Mr B. I. Omisade requested for the medical report conducted on the underaged girl and it was presented to him by the police prosecutor, Mr Fagboyinbo. 

After a brief look at the medical report, the Magistrate, Mr B. I Omisade said the report indicated that the minor was still a virgin.

He thereby granted the accused person bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety who must be a blood relation. 

The magistrate adjourned the case to 10/8/2020 and transfer the matter to Ilesha Magistrate Court for mention.
