Rapist should face full wrath of the law – Stakeholder

Mothers have been urged to always monitor their daughters and be careful with whose care they put them.

A housewife, Mrs. Naomi Ogbu made the call in an interview with Gold FM in Osogbo while reacting to the incessant cases of rape in the country.

Mrs. Ogbu noted that men are easily moved by what they see in female, not minding the age, which is making female children be victims of rape.

She maintained that most cases of rape were not due to indecent dressing citing examples of toddlers, old women who were being raped, even that of fathers raping their own daughters.

Mrs. Ogbu therefore called for full wrath of the law against rape, saying not carrying out the penalty has made more men to continue the act without thinking of the penalty.
