Some hours to Eid-el-Kabir celebration, markets in Ibadan have been rowdy with buying and selling by traders and customers for the preparation.

Radio Nigeria observed that Ogunpa, Aleshinloye, Dugbe, Sasa markets, prices of goods have increased as customers were busy bargaining while some were buying goods, not minding the hike in price, ahead of  Eid celebration.

A customer at the Ram stand in one of the markets, Mr Wale Adelaja, who had budgeted a particular price for ram met it higher than planned, saying irrespective of the hike in price of all goods, he would not be denied of the celebration.

Also speaking, a ram seller, Mr Bello Ademola said ram prices had gone up, which affected their sales, and that he was still expecting more customers for patronage.

Other goods like rice, beans, garri, and pepper still maintained affordable prices.

Also, commercial vehicles and bicycles in Ibadan city had increased their fare rates between fifty to one hundred naira due to the celebration.

Federal Government has declared 30th and 31st July as public holiday for the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir.
