The Delta State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has mobilised personnel to strategic locations within the state and its borders to ensure a hitch-free Eid-Kabir celebration and holidays.
The state Commandant of the NSCDC, Chike Ikpeamonwu, made this known in a message in Asaba on security preparations for Sallah celebrations in the area.
On the COVID – 19 partial lockdown, Commandant Ikpeamonwu noted the force would encourage precautionary measures of social distancing, regular washing of hands and compulsory wearing of face-mask especially in public places during the holidays.
He added the NSCDC would collaborate with other security agencies to maintain the peace throughout and after the festivities.
