Over seventy-four thousand beneficiaries are presently enjoying the
health services of Osun Health Insurance Scheme, OHIS.
The Executive Secretary of OHIS, Doctor Niyi Oginni stated this in Ilesa
in an interview with Gold FM.
Doctor Oginni explained that apart from enrollees in the formal sector
whose money is deducted from their salaries, hundreds of enrollees from
the informal sector had also keyed into the OHIS by paying #12,066 for an
individual and #57,660 for a family of six per annum.
Doctor Oginni used the avenue to appreciate Governor Gboyega Oyetola
for ensuring that the indigents and vulnerable population, pupils in
orphanages and school for the handicapped enjoy the services of OHIS
for free.
He said the enrollees could access both primary and
secondary health services in about 71 accredited hospitals in the
state with 17 government hospitals inclusive.
While emphasizing that the scheme had put in place necessary mechanism
